Jerry Dean Latorra, age 71, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on January 22, 2026. He was born July 5, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, to Rockwood Venetucci and Opal Lillian (Lineback) Latorra.
Jerry was a 1973 graduate of Brighton High School in Brighton, Colorado, and was a proud member of the Future Farmers of America. Throughout his working years, he was employed as a grocery produce clerk and later as an insurance medical records imager.
Known for his humor and warm personality, Jerry was loved by everyone who knew him. He was always laughing, joking, and bringing joy to those around him. On March 18, 1988, he married the love of his life, Robin, and together they celebrated 37 wonderful years of marriage.
Jerry and Robin enjoyed traveling and shared many memorable adventures, including trips to the North Slope of Alaska, New England, Hawaii, Canada, and Branson. He had a deep love for music, especially Neil Diamond and The Moody Blues. Together, Jerry and Robin enjoyed square dancing in the past and live music shows. His hobbies included building Legos, collecting Star Trek items, John Deere memorabilia, and trains. He was also known for his strong sense of loyalty and faith and attended Riverdale Baptist Church in Nixa.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Robin Latorra; mother-in-law, Ramona Fair; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Kim) Oehler; brother-in-law, Russell Brunswick; sister, Marianna (Stan) Harris; sister, Dixie Frick and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rockwood and Opal Latorra; his brother, Rockwood Joseph Latorra; sister-in-law, Virginia (Saucerman) Latorra; and brother-in-law, Claude Frick.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
