Judy Ann Lamb, age 78, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. She was born on November 13, 1947, in Hooker, Oklahoma, to John and Alma Gibler.
Judy grew up in Hooker and later attended Panhandle State College in Goodwell, Oklahoma, where she met the love of her life, James Lamb. The two were united in marriage on June 7, 1968, and shared a devoted marriage until James’s passing in April 2022.
Faith played a central role in Judy and James’ life together. They were active members of the United Methodist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma. Over the years, the couple built a home and life together, first in Illinois and later in Missouri, always keeping family and faith at the center of their journey.
Judy was known for her warmth, creativity, and love of home. She found great joy in puzzling, scrapbooking, cooking, baking, and decorating her home for the holidays. Her kitchen was often the heart of gatherings, and she was especially known for making delicious homemade ice cream for family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Amanda Pennington; her son, James Tyler “Jamie” Lamb and his wife, Megan; and her cherished granddaughter, Nora Lamb. She is also survived by her cousin, Ardena Davis and husband Merle; and her cousin, Kenny Hoobler and his wife, Loretta; one niece Jana Kaye Belding and one nephew David and Anjanette Gibler.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Gibler; her beloved husband, James Lamb; her sister, Kathy; and her brother, DeVon.
Judy will be remembered for her strong faith, loving heart, and the joy she brought to family traditions and everyday moments. She quickly turned friends into family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa with Pastor James LaSalle officiating. Burial will follow the visitation at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Nixa
