Jerry Dean Lorenz

Jerry Dean Lorenz was born May 3, 1944, in Kingfisher, OK to Harold and Mary Lorenz. Dean, as he was known to most, grew up in Loyal, Oklahoma working on his family's farm while attending school. He graduated from Omega High School in 1962. He continued his education at Okmulgee Technical school studying diesel mechanics. Upon graduation Dean went to work for White Motor Company and moved to Amarillo, Texas. In 1967 his family moved to Yukon, Oklahoma where he raised 2 daughters. In 1983, he married Carol Loydene McCann and welcomed her 3 children into his family. His new expanded family then settled in Southwest Oklahoma City, OK. Dean worked for several shops as a diesel mechanic before retiring from Sooner State Ford.
Above all else, Dean was a faithful follower of Christ and the true definition of a Godly man. He led his family by example. Dean was a dedicated member at Grace Assembly of God and often volunteered to drive the church van and helped in any capacity needed. Later in life Dean made The Bridge his home church.
Dean loved everyone unconditionally to his last day. Everyone was greeted with a smile and hug. He loved to help those in his life and could often be found at sporting events cheering on his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and shared that love unselfishly with his family and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Ellen Lorenz, Son Mark McCann, Grandson Levi Casey, Nephew Chris Hobza and sister-in-law Vicki Lorenz. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lorenz of Mustang, Daughters Danna Price and husband Joel of Pryor, Brenda Hill and husband Dave of Yukon, Daughter Kim McCann Casey of Mustang, Son Brent McCann and wife Jill of Yukon, and Daughter in law Ria McCann Campbell. Grandchildren; Candice & Michael Moy, Evan Casey and partner Michaela, Ben Ross, Blake Hill, Shelby and Jeff Walker, Jason & Katelyn McCann, Morgan McCann, Austin Turpin, Luke Price, Nicole Price, Carson McCann, Kolbe Turpin, and Beckam McCann. Great grandchildren; Blain, Addison, Nolan, Luke, Kensley, Chloe, Kholt, Khloe, Finn, and Willow, Sister Mary Ann Hobza and husband Tom and Brother Don Lorenz and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at The Bridge Church in Mustang at 10:00 am, August 8, 2025, and burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
