Nita Faye Becker, age 89, of Mustang, passed away on September 29, 2025. She was born in McLean, Texas, on March 30, 1936, to Richard and Ina (Franklin) Bond.

After high school, Nita began working for a doctor's office and began her career in medicine. She worked as a nurse for many years, primarily in geriatric care. During her life, there were many years she had to work multiple jobs at a time. She never complained and did what she needed to do to take care of her family.

Nita was a strong woman. She raised five children on her own. She was tough and full of grit, but she was tender and gentle in her soul. She never raised her voice and was kind to every person. She never wanted to be in the spotlight.

Nita was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved them in so many ways. She was an excellent cook and was famous for her German chocolate cake, fudge, and divinity. Her favorite meal was coconut shrimp. She was especially devoted to her favorite singer, the King of Country, George Strait.

She is preceded in death by her son, Mark Becker, son, Johnny Gambill, her parents, and her brother, Joe Bond.

She is survived by her son, Mike Becker; daughter Patty Keever and her children Kelley Compton (Kyle), Kristin Lemmings, and Meghan Richardson (Kenny); daughter Tammye DeVore (Gary) and her children Jennifer Gomez (David), Michelle Martin (Jeremy), Stacy DeVore, and Jami DeVore; and daughter Krista Becker; great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Mikenah, Kameron, Olivia, Jackson, Maddie, Mila, Brielle, and Beau; sister Sandra Meador; as well as many extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Nita are scheduled for 2pm on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at McNeil's Funeral Service in Mustang. She will be buried at the Red Hill Cemetery.
