Jerry Thomas Manring, born September 24, 1947, in Tampa, Florida, passed away on January 3, 2025. Jerry is survived by his wife, Pamela (Armbruster) Manring, two sons, Ryan Manring (Christina Mahan) and Jason Manring, daughter, Maegan (Manring) Noland, son-in-law, Keith Noland, grandchildren, Brianna Manring, Emma Manring (Tyler Todhunter), Jacob Noland, and Reagan Manring, great-grandchildren, Avery Todhunter and Porter Todhunter, and brother, Bobby Manring. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Louise Manring, and four siblings, Snootchie, Jimmy, Butch, and Kitty. He was surely greeted by them and his favorite dogs, Tippy, Annie, and Ellie.
Jerry served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Hermitage as a signalman in Vietnam. After separating, he relocated to Bowling Green, Ohio, where he married his wife and had three children. The family moved to Colerain Township in 1984 when Jerry took a position with Lisn, which later became Digital and Analog Designs, then finally, Expanet, from where he retired in 2009. Jerry was an avid golfer, wood-worker, and a Tom Selleck/Cruise look-alike.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Mueller Hicks Funeral Home & Crematory, 6780 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, Ohio 45005. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00 PM providing for a time of reflection by family and friends. Please be prepared to share your favorite "Jerry-ism" or story for the family to enjoy. Military Honors signifying his service with the US Navy will immediately follow the service.
The family requests NO FLOWERS - Please. Instead, memorial donations in Jerry's memory may be directed to VVMF.
