Jerry Meissonier

Jerry Meissonier (Henry), born April 21, 1947, passed away on February 16, 2026, in South Park, Pennsylvania.

Jerry was born in Venetia, Pennsylvania, and spent most of his life in Canonsburg, where he built a life centered around hard work, family, and loyalty. He worked as a heavy machine operator for Dosse Contracting and later served as an operations manager for Robinson Land Company. He took pride in what he did and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone who needed it.

He was funny, often inappropriate in the way only he could be, kind, and selfless. He had a way of making people laugh when they needed it most and was the kind of man who would quietly show up for others without being asked. He loved NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he cherished time spent talking, watching races, and enjoying the game.

More than anything, Jerry's life revolved around his daughter and grandchildren. Everything he did was for them. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather who found his greatest happiness in simply being present, showing up, and loving his family in the ways that mattered most. He was also a loyal and steady friend, especially to his best friend Dave, whose friendship meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. Meissonier Sr. and Esther D. Meissonier; and his sons, Bradley Meissonier and Marc Meissonier.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Elizabeth Maree Herrlich; his grandchildren, Anthony Meissonier, Madison Meissonier, Adriana Herrlich, Grady Dosse Herrlich, and Oakley Maree Herrlich; his brothers, Albert Meissonier and Robert Meissonier; and his nephew, Joseph Meissonier.

Jerry will be remembered for his big personality, generous heart, and unforgettable sense of humor. His greatest joy was his family, and his love for them will carry on through each of their lives.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Sunday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Davd P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. Memorial donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
