Jerry Mittlestadt Obituary
Jerry was born December 30, 1937, in Cambridge, Iowa, the son of Frank and Lillie (Pelham) Mittlestadt. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1955 and attended Iowa State University. He worked for Keck Warehouse in Des Moines before moving to California where he spent over 40 years. While there, he worked for Bullock & Jones Clothiers. Jerry enjoyed painting, crossword puzzles and growing flowers and vegetables.
Jerry is survived by his nieces and nephews: Pam Slippy of Ankeny, Kelly Aldrich of Cambridge, Robin Blue of Marshalltown, Bonnie Delaney of Nevada, Craig Mittlestadt of Collins, Theresa Mittlestadt of Missouri, Dave (Brenda) Mittlestadt of Jewell, Cheri (Steve) Hausner of North Liberty and Steve (Linda) Larson of Ames. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Clayton (Virginia), Ed (Nellie), Herman (Lila) and Jim; and his sisters, June (Irvin) Aldrich and Helen (Glen) Aldrich.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Jerry.
