Jerry Nelson

Jerry Nelson, age 88, of Milton, Wisconsin, found peace on September 17, 2025.

Jerry was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Alvina and Alfred Nelson. He grew up as the oldest of three children on the family farm. Those early years gave him a strong work ethic but also a love of simple joys.

In 1957 he married the love of his life Gloria Brewer. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure. They were blessed with three children, Cindy (Steve) Wright, Michael Nelson, David (Denice) Nelson. Seven grandchildren; Ashley (Dan) Nelson, Adam Nelson, Zach (Gianna), Lauren Nelson, Sarah Nelson, Ryan Nelson: brother: LaVern (Karen) Nelson.

Jerry worked at GM for 32 years, started his own drywall company, and later drove coach bus for 20 years. He was proud of his work, took pride in everything he owned, and could fix just about anything. Among his proudest accomplishments was building their home in Timber Ridge, a place where many cherished memories with family and friends were made.

Music was always a part of his life. He shared his gift by teaching accordion to others. He enjoyed history books, baseball, monopoly, woodworking and card games. In his youth he loved his Indian motorcycle, and later found joy in family vacations, bus trips with Gloria and wintering in Arizona with dear friends.

His quick wit and sense of humor brought laughter to those around him. He never turned down peanut M&M's or a good Friday night fish fry.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Gloria, sister Beverly Rossow, grandson Andrew Nelson.

He will be remembered for his strength, his pride in a life well-lived, and the love he carried for his family and friends. "Be our angel, you are now free from Parkinson's."

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Fredrick's Supper Club from 11AM to 1 PM.
