Jerry O’Bryan Obituary

Don served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968, rising to the rank of Sgt. E-5. He spent about 15 years in the insurance business, where he found much success. Most of all, he enjoyed his time as a carpenter, building houses and working with his hands. Hunting dogs and fox hunting were his lifelong passion.
He is survived by his wife, Patty, to whom he was married just three days shy of 61 years; daughter, Dona Knowles-McCoy and husband Hal; son, Jeff O'Bryan and wife Sandy; grandchildren, Meredith McNeely, Bret O'Bryan, and Brylee O'Bryan; and great-grandson, Jackson McNeely.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM CT at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Nettle Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
