August 29,1951 - February 27, 2025
CAMDEN, NY - Jerry L. Olin, 73 of Camden passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Wynn Hospital in Utica NY. Jerry was born on August 29, 1951 to George and Nellie Olin. Jerry was a graduate of Camden High School in 1970.
Jerry was an Army veteran serving from 1971 to 1973. Jerry co-owned and operated Olin Contracting, Inc., he also worked at Harden Furniture and at International Wire. Jerry enjoyed working in the woods harvesting trees for lumber and firewood. Jerry loved working, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family; family was most important to him.
Jerry was a member of the Queen Village Bible Church in Camden, NY.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Debby; his children Christopher (Heather) Olin and Heather (Michael) Turk; his siblings, Sharon (Mickey) Houghton, Fred Olin, Linda (Al) Nemo and Roy (Cheryl) Olin along with several aunts, uncles, brother in-laws, sister in-laws, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Jerry is predeceased by his parents George and Nellie Johnson Olin.
Funeral services will be celebrated at 5 p.m. on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at the LaRobardiere Funeral Home,109 Main Street, Camden NY. Relatives and Friends are invited to calling hours from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the services. Spring burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery Williamstown, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jerry's memory to the Town of Camden Ambulance Service, 14 Church St, Camden NY 13316; Hospice and Palliative Care, 4227 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford NY 13413; or The Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation for Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown MD 21741.
