Jerry D. Paulson, of Plover, WI, passed away at home on January 21, 2024, at the age of 82.
Jerry was born on August 30, 1941 in Waupaca, WI; son of the late Sanford and Virtle (Huffstutler) Paulson. He attended local schools and graduated from Waupaca High School.
Following high school, Jerry attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point from 1959 to 1961. In 1961, he decided to go a different direction and bravely enlisted in the US Air Force. He proudly served his country for 8 years, with an Honorable Discharge in 1968. On October 18, 1997, Jerry married Marcene "Marcy" Hagen. The two enjoyed 27 beautiful years together as husband and wife.
Jerry was an outdoorsman at heart; he enjoyed the solace of fishing and the thrill of deer hunting. When he wasn't spending time outside, he was cheering on his favorite sports teams; the Packers and the Brewers. In his later years, he enjoyed his work as a medical transport driver where he drove people to their medical appointments.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Marcy; his daughters, Laurie (William) Grace of San Antonio, TX, and Sheryl Paulson of Hastings, MN; his daughter-in-law, Jean Paulson of Bella Roca, GA; his sister, Sharon Zimpel of Waupaca; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Virtle; a daughter, Wendy; a son, Bradley; and a granddaughter, Tiana.
While Shuda Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family, there will be no services held at this time. Online condolences may be left by visiting www.shudafuneral.com.

Many years ago we would go with my parents to the aunt and uncles home in Waupaca where I remember going to the small park area downtown Waupaca and watching Jerry on the gazebo with the band. Jerry was playing a coronet in the band. Good by Cousin
