Jerry Pope Obituary
74, of Middletown, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021.
He was born July 30, 1947 in Middletown, to the late Robert and Marie (Yocum) Pope.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Pope.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby J. (Moore) Pope; son, Jerry L. (Beverly) Pope II; daughter, Jennie (Terry) Reichenbach; grandson's, Michael Pope, Stephen Pope, Shayne (Kira) Reichenbach, and Johnaton (Dani) Pope; granddaughter's, Jessica (Adam) Perks and Megan (Chris) Bilbrey; great-grandson's, Logan and Salem; siblings, Terry (Jo) Pope, Jackie (Ron) Williams, Danny (Patty) Pope, Paul (Debbie) Pope, James (Lori) Pope, and Beth Townsend-Pope; sister-in-law, Betty Pope; special extended brothers and sisters, Rodney and Barbara Hamilton, James and Sharon Kilburn, John Moore Jr., and James and Gale Moore.
Jerry was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving two tours in Vietnam and retired from AK Steel in 1999 after many years of service. He was also a life-time member of the Loyal Order of Moose #501 and VFW Post 3809.
