Jerry Lee Riddle, 63 of Waynesville, N.C. passed away at Mission Hospital surrounded by family on Tuesday July 22, 2025

Jerry was born on May 27, 1962, and was the son of the late Mary Magdalene Messer Riddle and the late Lester Dean Riddle. He was a life-long resident of Waynesville, but had really been all over the United States, out in Washington State and Idaho, where some of his brothers reside.

Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid bear hunter, and loved to go fishing back in his younger days. He had a working career in construction as a roofer and was very talented at what he did. Jerry was pretty handy with about anything he put his mind to do. The man was one of a kind. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy, who passed away in 2007 at a young age.

Jerry is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Ira) Allender pf Ohio, granddaughter Aria Shay, Brothers Joe (Bonnie) Riddle, Jack (Geneva) Riddle, & Johnny (Karen) Riddle, Sisters Maybelle Manley, Annette (Rodney) Burton, and Shelia (John) Bridges and lots of nieces and nephews and cousins,; also his former wife Linda F. Riddle.

To honor his request, a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
