It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of a lovely and kind soul, Teresa Rosalie Ditter Kazek, age 80.. She left this world on Friday, September 19, 2025, and entered into her glorious heavenly place of eternal peace and rest.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 5, 1944, to the late Joseph Ditter and the late Cecilia Patzker Ditter, she brought warmth and grace to every place she called home -from the sunny skies of Florida to the peaceful mountains of Canton, North Carolina.

Her life was one of compassion and care. As a dedicated pediatric nurse, she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and nurturing heart. One can only imagine the comfort she brought to children and families during their most vulnerable moments.

Teresa was a woman of many passions. She loved to travel, always seeking new experiences and adventures. She found great joy in genealogy, learning, and sharing stories of her family's history with great pride and respect. Music was another of her great loves, and her beautiful smile would light up the room when a favorite song was playing.

Above all, Mrs. Kazek loved and cherished her family. She will be forever missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James David Kazek, who passed away in 2021, and a son, James Joseph Kazek.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karoline K. Paxton and husband Kenneth of Canton, and Katherine K. Baker and husband, Richard of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Kyle Kazek and his fiancée Amanda Muniz, Jonathan Baker and Belicia, Jessica Baker, Wyatt Bucinskas and Bristol Paxton; and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Kazek.

A family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
