Jerry Lee Riley, Sr., 69, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away on April 16, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was born on April 4, 1956, in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, and grew up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of his home state.
For many years, Jerry dedicated his life to his career as an automobile mechanic, earning a reputation for his exceptional skills and dedication to his work. His passion for mechanics extended beyond mere profession; it was a lifelong pursuit that underscored his commitment to excellence and service.
Jerry was the beloved father of Jerry Lee Riley, Jr., Angela Buckler and Devin Riley. He is also survived by his sisters, Caroline Riley, Karen Teegarden, Joan Wells, Wanda Riley Vaughn and Frances Brown, who fondly remember him as a pillar of strength and love in their family and grandchildren, Chevy and Paxton Ball. His enduring legacy will be cherished by his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward Lee Riley and Thelma Gilbert Riley, who instilled in him the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience—qualities that defined his life and his interactions with others. Also preceding him in death were Gary, Larry, Tony and Frank Riley.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at the same location, starting at 1:00 PM. Entombment to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Jerry Lee Riley, Sr. will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
