Jerry was born in Odessa, TX on July 21, 1956, to the late James Robinson and Gladys Henderson Green. He accepted Christ at a young age. Jerry attended Ector County ISD.
He met and married Willene Sims. To their union one son was born Jerry Lamont Ross. Later he married Debra Thompson Ross.
Jerry worked at Sauceda Tamale Factory for many years. He loved his family and loved making his family laugh with jokes and original songs.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father and mother, sister Billie Harris, brother Arbert Ross and Glynn Ross. Jerry entered eternal rest on Friday, May 30, 2025.
He is survived by his son Jerry Lamont Ross (Brenda); companion Felicia Jernigan; brother Carlos Ross; sisters Lela Ross, Jannie Calicutt, Hazel Edwards (Robert), Mary Rivera (Ramon), Deborah Bledsoe (Late Michael), Patricia Christian, Larette Johnson; aunt Corsetta Calloway; uncle Richard Calloway; stepdaughter Demetria Thompson; stepgrandson Delante Thompson and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 1:00pm - 9:00pm at Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory, 1040 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761.
A Celebration of his life and faith will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Kingdom Life Center 3631 Kermit Hwy Odessa, Texas 79764, where friends and loved ones are invited to join in remembering and giving thanks for his life.
