Jerry Smith Obituary
Graveside services celebrating the life of Jerry Wayne Smith will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rick Chreene. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Jerry was born October 17, 1939, in Castor, Louisiana and entered his heavenly home October 3, 2023, in Minden, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley D. and Sylvia Smith, his wife Patricia Smith, his sister, Mary Walker and his brother-in-law, Tommy Walker.
He is survived by his son, Greg Smith and wife Nina of Minden; daughter, Carla Gray and husband Terry of Minden; grandchildren, Brandy Jorden (Aaron), Jason Smith, Kyle Marks (Sarah), Mandy Cassell (Nick), and Courtney Birky (Hunter); great-grandchildren, Case Jorden, Brock Cassell, Kaden Marks, Hayes Jorden, Madeline Marks, Bella Cassell, Beckett Marks, and Luke Birky, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Terry Gray, Mike Chreene, Ronnie Chreene, Jason, Smith, Kyle Marks, and Tim Cain.
The family extends special thanks to Town and Country Health and Rehab for their care given to our loved one.
