Jerry Lynn Sprinkle

Jerry Lynn Sprinkle, 88, passed away on October 1, 2024, at his home in Mabank, Texas. Jerry was born to Tilma and Carmen Sprinkle on August 21, 1936, in Waxahachie, Texas. 

He graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1954 and continued his education at Eastfield College, UT-Arlington and Southern Methodist University. Jerry was also a Master Mason for 58 3/4 years. 

Though he had many jobs, he spoke often of his time at Pay Master Feed, his positions at Coca-Cola and driving a school bus for Goldthwaite ISD before cruising into retirement.

Jerry’s dedication to sharing the gospel took him on 42 mission trips to spread the word of God. After retiring, he spent his time gardening, watching any available sport and cooking. His garden was bigger than his house, which is no surprise at all. His kitchen creations were unforgettable, there just isn’t enough room to list them. Most importantly, Jerry was honored to be a member of Grace Community Church. 

In 1973, Jerry met Johnnie – the love of his life. Their marriage formed the family of Jerry, his son David, Johnnie and her son Kyle.

He is preceded in death by his parents T.A. and Carmie Sprinkle, brother Arthur Lee Freeman, children Donny and Donna Sprinkle and grandson Chris Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Johnnie, sons David Sprinkle, Kyle Almand and wife Cathy, grandchildren Linda Matlock, Kandice Sprinkle, Denise Sprinkle, David Sprinkle, Jr., Tandra Sprinkle, great-grandchildren Tyler Johnson, Jordyn Johnson, Christyn Johnson, Madison Damron, Jenna Matlock, Asher Sprinkle, Kaelynn Smith and Godric Smith. He also leaves behind countless friends and members of his church.
