Mr. Starnes was born in Monroe, NC, a son of the late June Tucker & Ethel Starnes Helms. When remembering Wade, he will always be remembered as a hard worker.      He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vickey Gulledge Starnes; son, Patrick Starnes; and a brother, Gene Helms.

His service will be conducted at 3 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, October 1st, 2025, by the graveside of St. John Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the graveside. The family also welcomes friends to visit with them at the home of his son, Justin Starnes, 1453 Thomas Dr., Hartsville.
