Jerry Stevenson

Jerry Stevenson, 66, of Chariton, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at his home. Funeral services for Jerry will be July 25, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Strong Cemetery in Chariton.

Jerry was born July 17, 1958, to Dale and Marlene (Davis) Stevenson. He attended Chariton Schools graduating Chariton High School in 1976. After high school he worked on the farm with his dad and brother, John Pierce. He worked alongside his father and eventually took over raising bees and honey. He later attended college at Kirksville Missouri, studying environmental science. Jerry worked for the State of Missouri as a health inspector for several years before getting into real estate. He was an agent and broker in the St. Charles and St. Louis areas for many years.

Jerry was married to Terri Davis in 2003 and they were blessed with a son, Garrett Stevenson. Jerry was proud to have a son to carry on the family name. He enjoyed watching his sporting events and was very proud of Garrett's hard work and strong character.

Living back at the home farm for the last several years, Jerry continued his passion for fishing, hunting, and gardening. He loved growing tomatoes, attending farmers markets, and helping to grow pumpkins for the Patch.

Jerry is survived by his son, Garrett Stevenson; a brother, John (Joy) Pierce; niece and nephews: Clifton Pierschbacher, Marla Pierschbacher, John Pierschbacher, Jeff Pierce, Jason Pierce, Joe Pierce, and Justin Pierce; and many family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Marlene Stevenson and sisters: Marilyn Bridgford, and Dorothy Dees.
