Jerry Gene "Jay" Sullivan Jr.

Jerry Gene "Jay" Sullivan, Jr., 63, of Winamac, IN passed way unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1962 in Knox, IN to Betty Jean (Burke) and Jerry Gene Sullivan, Sr. Jay graduated from Winamac High School in 1980 and Purdue University in 1984. On July 29, 1989, he married the love of his life, Patricia A. "Patty" Doty, in North Judson, IN.
Jay worked as a licensed civil engineer and had a passion for farming. He served on the Pulaski County Council for 20 years (8 years as President). He was a proud member of the Pulaski County Republican Party. Jay was a hardworking man who faithfully served his community. He enjoyed his time spent in local politics and coaching his children's youth sports teams.
Jay was a tried and true Purdue Boilermaker and a big fan of the Winamac Warriors. He was an avid bowler and a Harley enthusiast. In his younger days, Jay spent countless-hours arrowhead hunting, and in recent years he shared this hobby with his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and never missed opportunity to bring a smile to your face. He was the kind of man who never met a stranger. Jay was a loving and devoted husband, father, and PaPa who will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 3-7 PM EST Friday, December 26, 2025 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM EST Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery in Winamac, IN.
