Jerry Wicker, passed away at the age of 67 on Tuesday, July 21, 2025, at the University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on January 6, 1958, in Seymour, Indiana, Jerry was the son of the late Herman Wicker and Mary (Heairne) Eaves.

On July 5, 1991, Jerry married his beloved wife, Deanna (McLemore) Whicker, who remains to honor his memory. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Jerry's passion for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He spent countless hours fishing, camping, and exploring the wilderness on his side by side and four-wheeler. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his love for the television show "Walker Texas Ranger,".

Jerry was a man who found joy in working with his hands, especially when it came to his "toys."

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deanna Wicker of Austin, Indiana; his children, Cody (Litta) Wicker and Terry Wicker, both of Lexington, Indiana, and Samantha (Paul) Hickman of Crothersville, Indiana. He also leaves behind his brother, Dale (Jennie) Eaves of Austin, Indiana.

Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Barry Wicker; his brother, Tom Eaves; and his sisters, Kathlene Marshall and Bonnie Koontz.

A funeral service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation from 10 am to 11 am on the same day at the funeral home. Jerry will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
