Scottie Combs, 29, of Austin, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Friday, July 25, 2025. Born on December 6, 1995, in New Albany, Indiana, he was the cherished son of Polly (Conner) Conner and David Combs. Scottie was a member of the Grace Covenant Church of God, Austin, Indiana.

He was a former Jefferson County Sheriffs Deputy and a Army Veteren.

He is survived by a family who adored him: his mother, Polly Conner and father David Combs; his brothers, Patrick (Jade) Combs and Austin Blake Combs; his sisters, Jessica Polly and Linda Polly; his precious sons, Layton Derek Combs and Bryce Lawson; his fiancée, Kelsie Sizemore. Scottie's legacy will also live on through his grandparents, Bessie and Sherman Combs; his aunts and uncles, David and Dianna Conner, Chad and Lori Coomer, and Josh Combs; his nephews, Tyler "T.J." Combs, Jaxton Barnett, and Ruttlynn Monroe Combs; his nieces, Anissah Payne, Emilie Monroe, Kalli Cox Nephews Noah Winslow and Lux Cox and his cousins, Hank (Paige) Conner, Donald (Bailey) Conner, Jared Coomer, Shadron Coomer, Jalen Coomer, and Skyler (Tyler) Leightner. His sister-in-law Julianna Monroe

Preceding him in death were his brothers, Derek Wilson Combs, David Tyler Combs, and Darrell Edward Polly, as well as his grandparents, Bonnie and David Conner.

A service to celebrate Scottie's life will be held with Rev. Steve Gwaltney officiating. The community will gather to honor his memory, share stories of his kindness, and reflect on the indelible mark he left on the hearts of many.

Scottie will be laid to rest at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana,
