Jerry D. Williams, Sr., 73, of Woodlawn, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 8th at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 22, 1949 in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Murray Williams and late Grace Inez Edwards. He is survived by his best friend and longtime partner, Dawn Mobley; Loving father of Brenda Williams, Paula (James) Elberts, Jerry D. (Bobbi Ann) Williams Jr., Hank D. (Valerie) Williams, Patricia Ann (Clay) Mundy, and Bryan Williams; Cherished grandfather of 16; Great-grandfather of 17; Devoted brother of Scherer Edward (Janet) Williams, Murray Don Williams, the late Rickey Williams, late Jane Williams and the late Diane (late John) King; Friend and former husband of Linda Williams-Trujillo. Jerry was a State Certified welder and had worked at various shops in his career, finally retiring in 2012 from AEMI. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He also enjoyed bowling. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15th, 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memorial Park Chapel, 24800 S. Governors Hwy., Monee, IL. He will be laid to rest with his family at Skyline Memorial Park following the service.
