Boersma Funeral Home79 year old Jerry Wolf of Wheatfield, passed away November 8, 2025 at his home.
Jerry Wolf, born December 24, 1945, to Elmer and Louise (Gessa) Wolf. He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield, Indiana. He graduated from Wheatfield High School in 1963. Jerry married Ora (Allen) Schanlaub on April 22, 1995, who survives. Previously, married to Connie Gourley, with whom he had four children. Jerry served 6 years in the Army National Guard. He worked 40 years at U.S. Steel. Jerry was a member of the Regional Streeters Car Club and Valley Cruisers of NWI Car Club. He enjoyed attending car shows and won many awards, for his 1953 “Porsche Raspberry Ford truck.” Hobbies included gardening and caring for his land, collecting die cast cars, and attending car shows.
Also, survived by son: Jerry Arther Wolf, daughter: Joyce Wolf, daughter: April & Brett Wireman, son: Timothy Schanlaub, and son: Denny & Jessica Schanlaub, eight grandchildren: Camellia Shea & Ryan Coffing, Paityn Howard, Jori Howard, Jerzy Howard, Hailey Schanlaub, Ella Wireman, Caleb Schanlaub, and Paige Schanlaub, and his sister: Joyce Harden, and three great-grandchildren: Oakley Coffing, Kace Coffing, and Asher Howard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Elmer Arther Wolf II, and Jimmy Lee Wolf, two daughters: Shelia Faye and Phyllis Marie, son: Robert K. Schanlaub II and grandson: Chase K. Wireman.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield. Services for Jerry will take place on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. with Ralph Sanders officiating.
Per Jerry’s wishes cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
