Jerry Worley, born on August 28, 1952, in Jackson County, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Athens, GA. He was a devoted family man and a respected professional in the automotive industry, where he established a successful career at Modern Body Shop.
Jerry's life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He is survived by his loving son, Jeremy Worley (Michelle), and his daughter, Valerie Worley, who both cherished their father’s guidance and support throughout their lives. Jerry also took immense pride in being a grandfather to two grandchildren, who brought him much joy and laughter.
Jerry’s legacy carries on through his siblings, Shirley Martin, Susan Manley and Joanne Bond (Charles) who will remember him as a devoted brother.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, George I. and Frances Bagwell Worley, his brother, Danny Worley, Charlie Worley, and his brother-in-law, Dennis Martin whose memories remain cherished.
In this time of mourning, Jerry's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, reflecting the compassion, dedication, and love he brought into the world. His contributions to his family and his community will be remembered and honored by many.
A memorial service will be held 4 PM Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 3 pm until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
