Jerzy Harasimowicz

Jerzy Harasimowicz, age 87, of Necedah died on Sunday February 4, 2024 with his family by his side at his residence in Necedah, WI. Jerzy was born January 10, 1937 in Poland to Paul and Stanislawa (Kuczynska) Harasimowicz. Jerzy had over 16 years of education, receiving his master's degree in 1970 and later receiving his Doctoral Degree. Jerzy was raised in Poland and moved to the United States in 1987 and lived in Chicago, IL.
Jerzy was united in marriage to Elizabeth G. Jankowska on September 24, 1988 in Chicago, IL, where Jerzy worked as a Physical Therapist. Jerzy and Elizabeth moved to Necedah, WI, in 1996 and have been here since then.
Jerzy liked to work in his garden and also take care of the animals. He enjoyed going fishing, watching sports on TV, skating and skiing and writing poetry. He loved to play Chess and Bridge with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Necedah, and daughter Michelle of Madison, WI,, and three sons, George Harasimowicz of Illinois, Bogdan (Agata) Harasimowicz of Illinois, and Les (Laura N) Harasimowicz of Whistler, Canada, and 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters Regina, Krystyna and Halina.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday February 9, 2024 at 12:00p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (2001 South Main St.) Necedah, WI. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:30a.m. until the time of service at noon. Interment will be in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Necedah.
