In 1979 he returned to Carney, Oklahoma. He married Lisa Brandon in 1980 and together they welcome their daughter, Tiffany, in 1981, followed by their son Jesse, two years later.

Known for his love of golf, cheering on Oklahoma State Cowboy football, and especially going out dancing, Reb embraced life with enthusiasm. He found happiness in the simple things: good company, good music, and the moments that brought people together.
