August 12, 2025
It is with profound sadness that the family of Jesse Garcia, announce his unexpected passing on August 12, 2025, he was surrounded by his girls. Jesse was born in Taos, NM, on September 4, 1964, to Herbert and Fidelia Garcia. As a lifelong resident of Northern New Mexico, he was fortunate to call Canoncito and Espanola home.
Jesse was a charismatic man who possessed unwavering integrity. He was an indestructible force to be reckoned with. Strong as nails, solid as steel on the outside, but on the inside, he was warm and soft.
His humor was absolute and unchallenged. Being let into his little world of great jokes, silly references, and irreplaceable advice was unlike anything on this earth. He had a captivating way with words; he was a gifted narrator and had a natural talent for storytelling. Jesse’s love and devotion for his family was constant and had no boundaries.
No amount of words could describe our incredible husband, father, son, uncle, friend. When he loved, it was genuine and unconditional; you knew. Jesse would light up a room without even trying. His strength and love will live on forever with us.
Working at the ranch with his family brought him true happiness. Jesse found pure joy, fulfillment, and contentment in the work and life on the ranch. Jesse was a true foundation of inspiration and a deep source of motivation for others.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fidelia Garcia; grandparents, Amarante and Amelia Trujillo, Frank and Raquel Garcia; and cousin, Manuel Trujillo.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tisha Garcia; his daughters, Jessica and Barbara Garcia; father, Herbert Garcia; brother, Ray Garcia; sisters, Roberta Martinez and Dianna Garcia; sister-in-law, Helen Martinez; nephews, Carlos Martinez, Ray Garcia Jr, and Ryan Maestas; nieces, Rachel DeAguero and JulieAnn Baca; cherished friend, James Lopez; as well as, several great nieces and nephews. Oh!....and his estranged dog, Peanut.
Jesse was a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan, and he respectfully requests two Dallas Cowboys to carry his urn so that the Cowboys can let him down one more time.
Rest easy and fly high. We will see you on the other side.
