It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Gill Garcia, a cherished father, grandfather, who left us on August 7th, 2025. Born on October 16th, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas. Joe was a beacon of love and joy in the lives of everyone who knew him. Joe's passion for fencing was evident, he became known as "The Best of The Best" for his craft. He was respected by many of his peers. A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he passionately followed the team through thick and thin, and instilling a love for football in his family that will last for generations. Sundays were sacred, filled with laughter and cheers. He was also a true aficionado of Vicente Fernández. His passion for music was contagious, it brought many sing-alongs. Joe's voice would resonate, reminding us of the joy and beauty of life. Joe is survived by his loving wife Florinda Gonzales, and children Ernest Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales, Joe R. Garcia, Paula G. Rodriguez, Maria Recinos, Libby Garcia, Blanca Martinez, Nikki Campos, 54 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. In addition, he is proceeded in death by parents Estanislado Garcia, Josefina Gill, his siblings: Stanley Gil Garcia, Jr., Juan Gil Garcia, Rosa Garcia , Gloria Mata ,Lupe Garcia, Connie Garcia and and son Manuel Gonzales. As we say goodbye to Joe, we find comfort in knowing he is now cheering from the best seat in the house, watching over us with a smile, a Miller light and his Cowboys gear. Rest in peace to the best of the best, you will forever be in our hearts and memories.
