Jesse Gassman, 71, Bismarck, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, surrounded by family in his home. Jesse attended Marty Grade School and graduated from Marty Indian School in 1973. Jesse had various jobs throughout his life, including as a C.H.R. driver and carpenter. He also worked at NDSU, United Tribes Technical College, and Fort Randall Casino. Jesse and Sue were high school sweethearts who parted ways for 30 years. However, the Creator brought Jesse and Sue back together, and they were united in marriage on September 7, 2013, in Bismarck, North Dakota. Jesse and Sue were able to celebrate life together at Jesse's pool tournaments, powwows, casinos, as well as birthdays and all holidays. Jesse and Sue's favorite song was "Diamond Girl," by Seals and Croft. Jesse joined pool leagues in Bismarck and New Town, North Dakota. He was blessed with many pool brothers and pool sisters. His pool buddies nicknamed Jesse "The Destroyer." Jesse Gassman, age 71, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, surrounded by love. Jesse will be welcomed by all his family members who have gone to be with Jesus: his mother, father, grandmas, grandpas, aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters, two beautiful daughters, nieces, and nephews. If the family left anyone out of our stories, please do not have any hard feelings towards our family; this is just Jesse and Sue's chapter of their lives together. Jesse is survived by his wife, Sue Big Eagle; daughters, Tara Kay Beston (Gary Sr.) and Jessica Paez; sons, Daryl Jandreau (Sarah), and Jesse Jr.; brother, Kenny Crawford; sister, Christina Castillo; and aunt, Janice Provost. Jesse loved and was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
