Jesse Jackson Holmes, Jr. was born Sept 17, 1931 to Jesse and Eunice Holmes of Bolton, North Carolina, He passed away at his home on April 8, 2024.
Jesse was the proud owner of Holmes Auto Repair, which he founded in 1959. He also served in the Air Force from 1951 until 1955. In the 1960's, he helped establish the Ford Model A Club. As an avid Model A enthusiast, he enjoyed tinkering, collecting and driving many trips with the club.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; and sisters, Linda Byrd and Jane Ross. Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Holmes; his sons, Michael (Lynda) and Greg (Cindy); grandchildren, Bryan (Heather), Crystal (Zach), Scarlett (Frank), Casandra (Shawn), Miranda (John) and Josey (Derek); great-grandchildren, Lilly, Mackenzie, Eisley, Cambria, Aurora, Ava, Brooklyn, Dean, Magnolia and Aiden; along with many nieces and nephews. Surviving siblings are Richard (Judy) and Louise.

Jesse touched many lives during his 93 years. His wit, his knowledge and profound love for his family is his legacy. He will be missed by all who had the great honor to know him.
