Jesse Daniel Hooper

Jesse Hooper, 12, of Otsego, MN died on July 16th, 2022
Jesse was born on October 21, 2009 to Tony and Kristi Hooper and joined his older brother Luke at home in Champlin, MN.
Jesse began life with a curiosity that was never satisfied. Always looking to understand what you were up to, what you were holding, or how the thing you were using worked. He was as equally motivated by his caring heart for people as he was by his curiosity.
Jesse attended Oxbow Creek Elementary in Champlin until moving to Otsego in 2019 where he continued school at Otsego Elementary and Prairie View Middle School. Jesse found friends quickly, but not just at school. Nobody was a stranger to him. He was happy to join you alongside what you were doing and quick to offer his help. In short time he became the neighborhood fix-it kid.
A light-hearted, fun, jokester embodied Jesse's silly side. Undoubtedly you would laugh in his presence, but he wasn't just attentive to laughs. He cared deeply for those around him and had an emotional awareness beyond his years. Chances are, if you have laughed with him, you've also received a high five or a hug from him.
Jesse lived life without fear, with pockets full of parts of trinkets, and always had something to share with you.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steven Hooper.
He is survived by his parents, Tony and Kristi; brother, Luke; grandparents, Dan and Iris Kissel and grandma, Pat Hooper; aunts and uncles, John, Brian, Jenny, Nate, Jill, Robin, and Chris; cousins, Lauren, Sam, Raquel, Moriah, Tatum, and Tessa; and many others who shared life with him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, 8601 – 101st Ave N, Brooklyn Park on Friday, July 22 at 4:00. Visitation begins at 2:00 and a snack reception to follow the service.
Jesse would want everyone to be comfortable, please dress casually.
