Jesse Leon-Alfaro Obituary

Obituary
Jesse J. Leon-Alfaro passed away at the age of 21 years on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Jesse graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, Colorado in May of 2019. He joined the Marines in June of 2019 and continued his career in the Marines. At the time of his death he was a Corporal and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
His Commanding Officer shared these words about Jesse, "Jesse was a bright and extremely capable Marine who, based on every interaction I had with him, was committed to those around him. He was well liked by his teammates, was well respected and proficient at his job, and cared for every person with whom he came in contact. His passing was a shock to the hundreds of Marines that he impacted in his short time at the squadron - which in itself is a tribute to his impact as a Marine and as a person. He will be remembered, he made a difference, and he will be missed."
Jesse was known for his bright smile and kind heart. He was always looking for ways to help his family, friends, and community. His sense of humor brought laughter and joy to his family, and he treated everyone he knew with the utmost respect. He was a brave young man and worked hard for his dreams and accomplishments. He was a hero to his family.
He is survived by his parents, Mary and Jose, as well as his sister, Jennifer, his brothers, Jose Jr. and Joshua, his grandmother Francisca, his two nephews, Jayden and Joziah, and his loving extended family and close friends.
