The forever life of the party, Jesse Mendiola, who brought smiles and laughter in abundance, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 26, 2024. He was 56 years old. A celebration of Jesse's life will be Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, between the hours of 1 PM and 2 PM. Interment will be private.
Jesse was born October of 1967 to Ramon Borja and Beatrice Mendiola Borja in Tamuning, Guam. He served his country in the United States Army and was a true US patriot. He was proud to be from the island of Guam; and conversations with his siblings would take him directly back to his childhood there. His parents looked forward to their daily FaceTime calls, that always contained jokes and a little fun rubbing. His wife, Tammy, and son, Gunnar, were privileged to spend 33 years together with him that will provide memories of love, laughs, crazy nicknames, and many "adventures" to reflect upon and share with his granddaughters. Our hearts are heavy; however, we know that we gained an angel to watch after us. We are certain he is in Heaven. He is up there kayak fishing, to catch his elusive red fish, while carrying an unlimited supply of COSTA sunglasses to replace the ones he will donate to the water; admiring his massive hot sauce access, and most certainly listening to his 80's rock on repeat.
Jesse is survived by his wife and best friend of 33 years, Tammy Williams Mendiola; son, Gunnar (Megan) Mendiola ; parents, Ramon and Beatrice Borja; in-laws, Sam and Betty Williams; four siblings: Kenneth Borja, Lorena Borja Augon, Raymond Borja and Connie Gary; two beautiful granddaughters, Ava and Mia, and a host of extended family and friends.

I first met Jesse when he came to work at Atlanta Gas light Company. He was always smiling, had a kind spirit and laughed a lot . He was also very eager to learn and eager to help others. Jesse loved his family and this country. Rest in peace Jesse , now that you´re home with Jesus.
