Jesse A. Miller, born on September 23, 1953, in Edisto Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at Ladson area hospital on November 9, 2025. Jesse was a beacon of laughter and kindness, remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and a hardworking spirit that inspired all who knew him.

Jesse took pride in his career as a Master Electrician, contributing his skills to the Charleston Naval Shipyard and the Edisto Beach Water Department. He later retired as Commissioner for the South Carolina Rural Water Association, where his dedication and expertise left a lasting impact on the community. As a loving family man, Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Miller, Sr., his mother, Juanita Brown Miller, his brother Mark Miller, and his sister Suzy Weeks.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie Gorman-Miller, who will miss him dearly, along with his cherished daughter, Jerrette Secrist, and her husband, Russell. Jesse's warm presence will also be missed by his grandchildren, Sullivan and Sawyer, all of Hanahan, SC. He is further survived by his sister, Donna Gannon, and her husband, Mack, of Birmingham, AL; his brother, Thomas Miller, and wife, Pamela Thompson, of Ladson, SC; his stepsons Nicholas Gorman (Michele) of North Charleston, SC, and Matteson Gorman (Elizabeth) of North Port, Florida; stepdaughter Michelle Stonaker (Lawrence) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, along with seven Miller nieces and nephews and numerous step-grandchildren.

Jesse was truly passionate about life, finding joy in tinkering with gadgets and electronics, as well as spending time hunting and enjoying the waterways. His laughter was infectious, and his kindness touched many lives.

A celebration of Jesse's life will take place on November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at 1518 Creekwood Road, Edisto Island, SC, 29438. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in honoring the memory of a remarkable man who enriched the lives of everyone around him.
