Jesse Navales Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center - Murray on Mar. 30, 2026.
In Loving Memory of Jesse "Esoy" Lames Navales (December 15, 1946 - March 29, 2026 12:20pm)

Jesse "Esoy" Lames Navales, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and quiet strength. He was born on December 15, 1946, in Iloilo, Philippines, to his beloved parents, Jesus Navales and Carmen Navales.

Jesse spent part of his youth in Yokohama, Japan, where he attended high school, an experience that helped shape his perspective and resilience and graduated in 1965. He later made his way to the United States, settling in Monterey, California, where he built a life grounded in hard work and family.

Jesse dedicated 35 years of his professional life to Delta Airlines, formerly Western Airlines, where he was known for his commitment and strong work ethic. He took pride in his career and retired in 2006, closing a meaningful chapter of service and accomplishment.

Beyond his work, Jesse found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and New England Patriots, never missing a NFL game and tennis matches, and enjoyed playing tennis and bowling. He also had a special fondness for keeping organized and took great pride in managing appointments in his office-something that reflected his structured and thoughtful nature. He enjoys reading his social media of his dead family and friends, listening to the sweet tunes of Jose Jose, Yoyoy, Max Surban, Alabama, Julio Iglesias, Foreigner, Eagles, the Romantics, and Steve Miller Band.

Above all, Jesse was a family man. He shared 42 loving years of marriage with his wife, Leila, building a life centered on love, partnership, and unwavering support. He was a proud father to seven children: Lourdes (Andrew), Lisa (Che), Pierre "PJ," Aeiko, Zachary (Chelsea), Jerome, and Caera (Ada). Loving brother of Jessie, Carmen, Carlos and Paul. His family continued to grow with the addition of his cherished grandchildren: Serina, Karissa, Gavin, Isabella, Devynn, Emmanuel, Myles, Jayden, Brexlynn, Marquitos, McCoy, and Gigi.

Jesse's life was defined by his dedication to those he loved. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet humor, and the deep care he showed to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pn (4760 South State Street, Murray, UT).
