Jesse Emery O'Shea, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born on February 16, 1948 to James and Betty (Law) O'Shea in Council Bluffs, IA. Jesse married Mary (Griffith) on May 3rd, 1982. Jesse was a lifelong mechanic and maintenance man and worked at several car repair shops in the Council Bluffs area. Later in life, he was the neighborhood go-to for small engine and bicycle repair.
In addition to his parents Jesse was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mary O'Shea; brothers, James "Jim" O'Shea, Ed Giesler, Gary Ronk, and infant sister, Panthea O'Shea; and his ex-wife, Linda Poyner.
Jesse is survived by his children, Angela Mauseth (Steven), Teresa Saar, Nyna Camerlinck, Heather Watts (Scott), Sheila Bernhards (Art Moore), Richard Donaldson (Christi), Christina Welch (Alan Natowski); sister, Pat Bishop; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; his fur baby, Nutmeg; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home with the visitation held an hour prior, also at the funeral home.
The family will direct memorials.
