Jesse Powitzky Obituary
Mrs. Powitzky died March 27, 2022 at her son's home in Salado, Texas.
Mrs. Powitzky was born April 27, 1930 in Rule, Texas. Her family moved several times because they were farmers and eventually ended up in the Rio Grande Valley, near Raymondville.
Jesse became a bank teller where she met and married Charles B. Powitzky. Charles, who worked for Exxon, was transferred several times. Jesse continued her banking career while raising one son, Lance.
Jesse enjoyed taking care of family and home but she would travel many weekends to other Texas cities.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and 1st Baptist Church of Kingsville, Tx: then finally a member of 1st Baptist Church of New Braunfels, Tx.
She is preceded by her parents, Roy and Bessie Fletcher, and her husband, Charles B. Powitzky.
She is survived by her son, S. Lance Powitzky and his wife Stephanie: 3 grandchildren: Christopher L. Powitzky, Charles S. Powitzky and wife Taryn, Courtney J. (Powitzky) Stogner and husband Ryan, 5 great-grandchildren: Ava, Liam, Lennox, Henley and Truett.
Services are in the care of Broecker Funeral Home, Salado
