Jesse James Sands, 36, of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from unexpected health issues. He was born in Long Beach, CA, on February 28, 1988, to James and Rita (Petko) Sands.
Jesse had many titles in life, from chef to artist to entrepreneur, but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his young son, Oliver.
Sadly, Jesse only had a few years to enjoy with Oliver, but made sure to make the most of that special time. From teaching Oliver to ride a bike to teaching him how to rank up in rocket league, Oliver will forever cherish those memories. His playful nature will not only be terribly missed by his family, but all who have interacted with him.
Jesse is survived by his beautiful partner, Chloe Pierzchala and their son, Oliver. He is also survived by his mother and father, Rita and James, as well as his siblings Leah, Zack, Harley, Roxy, and Blaze, two nieces and a nephew, several cousins, and numerous friends.
Calling hours will be Saturday July 27, 2024, from 2-5 PM at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 Damon Road, Northampton, MA 01060.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Oliver's Future, Chloe Pierzchala, c/o Oliver Sands, 17 Lawler St., Holyoke, MA 01040, in memo line please include: "Oliver's Future", or by Zelle, a QR CODE is below.

Jesse was very compassionate with recovery. I met Jesse while being a resident at the Orange Recovery House when he was the director. He always made himself available to talk if you needed someone to listen. He was a great friend and role model.
