Jesse L. Vanhoose, age 97, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Saturday September 13, 2025. He was born in Lawrence County, Kentucky on April 5, 1928, son of the late Falsom (Blankenship) and Charlie Vanhoose. He retired from McGraw Construction as a foreman in 1985; and was a member of the Labor Union Local #534. Jesse was a longtime member Stratford Heights Church of God in Middletown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Betty L. (Castle)Vanhoose in 2011; a daughter, Darlene Boschert in 2025; his grandson, Michael Fink in 2006; 3 sisters, Beulah Gallagher, Pearl Moore and Mabel Cook; and 2 brothers, Claude and Willie Vanhoose. Jesse is survived by 2 daughters, Freda (Victor) Perkins, and Deborah (Darrell) Antill; his son-in-law, Ron Boschert of Florida; and friend Violet Barnett; numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday September 19, 2025, at Stratford Heights Church of God, 4419 Nelson Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042, where the Funeral Service will follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. The burial will be at Springboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Stratford Heights Church of God or to Hospice Care of Middletown.
