Stokesdale- Jesse Lee White, 79, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born May 29, 1946, in Stokes County, the son of Haggie and Mary Tilley White. Jesse was a loving husband, father and friend. He never met a stranger and spent most of his working life driving his truck. Jesse started driving for Northwest Components and ended his career with Epes out of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Timothy and Joseph White; and two sisters, Ann Koontz and Marsha Hamlin. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine White; three children, Terry Fry (Randal) of Oakridge, James White (Amy) of Kernersville and Phoenix White of the home; two brothers, Jerry White of Lewisville and Phillip White (Rhonda) of Kernersville; two sisters, Vickie Jenkins of Greensboro and Sadie Goad (Linville) of Walkertown; eight grandchildren, James Fry (Stephanie), Jason Fry, Rusty Fry. Natalei White, Jesse White, Dalton White, Brittany White and Heather White; five great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor John DeVine officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
