Jessica Carole Gaebler-Haffey, age 43, of Arvada, Colorado, died on July 19, 2025.
Born in California June 8, 1982, Jessica spent most of her childhood in Kent, Washington on a small horse farm with her parents (Gary & Debbie) and two siblings (Sarah & Jeff). Like most “farm girls,” she could do just about anything she set her mind to, and she was fearless. Jessica trained and showed horses, mended fences, drove a tractor, bucked hay (the same weight she was), installed electrical outlets, and roofed a three-story barn; if it needed to be done, she would do it.
Jessica moved to Colorado at the age of 18 and set her mind on building her life. Although she visited her family in Washington often, she craved adventure and wanted a life she built on her own. In 2012, she was introduced to Thomas “Tommy” Haffey - the love of her life. Together they became an unbreakable team, always cooking extravagant meals together or for one another (Jessica loved to cook for Tommy, and he ate whatever she made), or they dined out together - true foodies. They enjoyed traveling, glamping, attending concerts/sporting events, spending time with family and friends, and raising Tommy’s son, Christian, and their dog Penny.
It was often said Jessica and Tommy were the happiest couple in the room. They shared a love that most only dream of, and they balanced each other perfectly.
Jessica was the light in the room, and everyone gravitated toward her. She had a bright smile and eyes that sparkled.
Jessica brought warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everyone she met. She approached life with energy (she never sat still) and compassion.
She is survived by her husband (Tommy Haffey), stepson(Christian Haffey), father (Gary Gaebler), mother (Debbie Gaebler-Momber), siblings (Jeffrey Gaebler and Sarah Collins and her husband Zach Collins) nieces (Alysa and Emma McPherson), in-laws (Dr. Thomas and Marilyn Haffey), sister-in-law (Marie Haffey), extended family (Aunt Becky Mesedahl, Aunt Beth Gaebler, Uncle Bob Rennie, Aunt L’Tanya Hudson, Cousin Jennifer Tilley, cousin Shakirah Hudson-Cousins, and cousin Shaun Hudson) and countless chosen family Jessica adopted in her life.
Jessica was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Cliff and Ruth Mesedahl, Paternal Grandparents Fred and Virginia Gaebler, Cousin Tyler Murphy, Stepfather Juergen Momber, and Aunt Carole Jeanne Mesedahl.
All those who knew and loved Jessica will remember her free spirit, love of adventure and unwavering generosity.
Her absence leaves a hole in our lives, but her vibrant legacy remains.
A celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Friday August 22, 2025 from 3pm-6pm at the Elk’s Lodge in Arvada, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a local women’s shelter or pet rescue reflecting causes that deeply mattered to her.
