Jessica L. Hopkins, born on September 30, 1994, in Framingham, Massachusetts, passed unexpectedly at her home in Torrington, CT on November 6, 2025. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend whose warmth and spirit touched all who knew her.
She loved putting together Teddy Blocks, and singing to and with her children. Cuddling when the kids were sick, or cheering someone up with her contagious laughter and whimsical sense of humor when spirits were down. Her love of all things pickle was only surpassed by her obsession with Halloween. She enjoyed watching scary movies at all hours and collecting keychains, dolls, and legos of horror icons.
Jessica is survived by her parents, Theresa (Gallagher) Marin and stepfather Scott Marin of Torrington, Connecticut. She was a devoted mother to her son Koda Hopkins of Torrington and her two daughters, McKenna Hopkins and Salem Hart, both of Torrington. She cherished her role as a mother, and her love for her children was evident in all she did.
In addition, Jessica is survived by her maternal grandmother, Linda Gallagher, and her siblings: one brother, Kevin Hopkins of Ludlow, Massachusetts, and two sisters, Amanda Sullivan of Winsted, Connecticut, and Jenna Cadarr of South Korea, her step-siblings, Elizabeth Marin of Bristol, Connecticut, and Chris Marin of Washington DC, along with several nieces and nephews. Jessica was predeceased by her father, John S. Hopkins.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jessica's life during calling hours on November 22, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook Funeral Home, Litchfield St, Torrington, CT. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, allowing her loved ones to honor her memory and the joy she brought into their lives.
A Celebration of life will be held after the service until 4pm at Bad Dog Brewing-1st Floor (117 Water St Torrington).
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
