Obituary of Jessica Michele Merris Lance
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jessica Michele Merris Lance. Our Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt and Dearest Friend to Many.
Jess was born on March 06, 1981 to John and Cathy Merris in Charlotte, North Carolina. She would spend most of her adolescence and young adult life In the area of Austin, Texas. She also frequented the Wasatch Front area of Northern Utah, attending school there culminating in her earning a bachelor's degree from BYU Idaho.
Jessica loved adventure and loved traveling. She spent time abroad on her own and with family in places like England and India. She spent her career in caregiving and as often as possible providing service work for others. She loved birdwatching and keeping and maintaining a Little Free Library in her front yard. She will be remembered as a tremendous personality and as being a loving and devoted friend to everyone in her life.
She is survived by her husband Bryson Lance and their son Levi Lance. Also surviving are her sister Julie Tucker, her husband Dana and their four children: Chloe, Cole, Mallory and Mia. Her Sister Natalie Merris and her son Chaz Watley. Her Brother John Merris, his wife Cindy and their five Children: J.J., Calli, Cambrie, Jake and Jaxson. Her sister Nicole Adams, her husband Richard and their daughter Amara Heddins. Her brother Joseph Merris.
A service to honor Jessica's memory and celebrate her life will be held Thursday, August 22 at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 9700 Nesbitt Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55437 at 10:45 am, preceded by a visitation will loved ones at 10:00 am.
