Jessica B. Powers

Jessica Barbara Powers, age 45, a resident of Farmington Hills, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on January 22nd, 2026. Jess was born on August 22nd, 1980 in Rochester, MI to John and Barbara (Newlands) Piercey.

When Jess was born, her older sisters wished for a baby brother. Unbeknownst to them, they were getting the best of both worlds with the newest of the Piercey family. Jess was the perfect combination of tomboy and best friend neither knew they needed. She followed in her father's footsteps to the point that her family started to call her "Jessica John" instead of her given name. Everything Jess did, she did with all her heart. Whether it was learning about the fastest cars and motorcycles, the coolest tattoos, working out, or becoming a Kettle Bell Instructor, she was all in. Jess was in fact the ultimate "bad-ass!"

Her greatest passion was raising and loving her three greatest gifts to the world, Brandon, Addie and Izzy B! Whether she was watching them on the ice or the dance floor, Jessie's greatest accomplishments were the children she raised with her best friend and husband, Mike.

Jess possessed a strong sense of patriotism. She supported her dad as a Veteran, always reminding those around her of the sacrifices her parents made for our country. Her dedication to animals was evident by what she lovingly called her "Bulldog Hospice." There was no stronger advocate for Super, Angel, Jack and Monroe, her four-legged babies.

Jessie enjoyed the early years of her marriage raising her children as a stay-at-home mom. Her sisters are in awe of how much she thoroughly enjoyed creating the best life possible for Brandon, Addie and Izzy. When it was time to return to the workforce, Jessie found her home at Cloverdale School working with young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Farmington Hills, MI. Her love for her students continued even after she began working for Ford Motor Company. Jess proudly served as a Safety Member of her floor team at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant. She loved to see a Bronco on the road and would proudly proclaim "I painted that for you myself!"

Jessie's favorite saying was, "Live in the Sun, Love in the Moon." She loved with everything in her. Her dedication and loyalty to her friends and family was unparalleled. No matter the occasion, Jess could be found in the audience celebrating the accomplishments of her husband Michael Powers, son Brandon Powers, daughters Addison and Isabella Powers, parents John and Barbara Piercey, sisters Lisa (Gregg) Lepine and Sue Lind, and her nieces and nephews Anderson (Adam) Piercey, Kendell Lind, Mia Lind, Jacob Lepine and Brynn Lepine.

Visitation will be held in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens on Tuesday January 27, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Friends and family are welcome to arrive beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions in memory of Jessica are suggested to Lisa Lepine for the future benefit of Jessica's children.
