Jessie L. LeRoy, age 69 passed away on June 30th, 2025 at the Ellinwood District Hospital. She was born on October 25th, 1955 in Lindsborg, KS. Jessie was the daughter of George and Grace (Franklin) Ditch. She was a former employee of Dillons Grocery in St. John. She then worked at Leisure Homestead in Stafford as a Medical Records Designee, where she retired after 20 years of service. Jessie was a lifelong resident of St. John. She spent her free time loving her dogs, sewing and crafting, party planning, and following sports at many levels. Her favorite players were her grandchildren and Dean Wade. Some of Jessie’s most precious memories were made camping and fishing with her beloved husband and grandchildren. Jessie was known to be a gift giver, as it brought her immense joy to give to others. Her memberships include First Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Phi and The Porch Party Gals all of St. John. On June 7th, 1974 she joined her high school sweetheart Mike LeRoy in marriage, he survives of the home. Other survivors include her daughters, Kayla (Kevin Bruton -Fiancé), Holliday, TX, Tracy (Brian) Davis, St. John, KS; a brother, Tim (Roberta) Ditch, Wellington, KS; a sister, Jennifer Gillespie, St. John, KS; grandchildren, Mariah (Rogelio Loya) Dowling, Kaden Shelton, Kimbra Dowling, Cole Shelton, Tara Dowling and Olivia Davis; a great grandchild, Sophia Dowling. Jessie loved Jesus and we are at peace knowing she is with our Lord and Savior. A private family burial has taken place at the Fairview Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM, on July 12th, 2025 at Minnis Chapel, St. John. Memorials may be given to Leisure Homestead or the Ellinwood Hospital in care of Minnis Chapel, Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
