JESSIE MAE LESCALLETTE, 94, of Jewett, OH, formerly of Weirton, WV passed away Friday October 3, 2025 at home. She was born May 18, 1931 in Weirton. The daughter of the late Jess D. and Mary Amstutz Truex. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Samuel C. Lescallette (2018); her daughter, Susan Jenkins (1997); grandson, Logan P. Lescallette; and sisters, Rosina Wray and Lois Stewart.
Jessie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and former member of the Paris Presbyterian Church where she was choir director for 16 years, and Sunday School teacher since she was 16 years old; Three Score Seniors; she and her husband, Sam sang together for many of the local senior clubs and church gatherings.
Surviving are her sons, Timothy Lescallette (Loretta) of Weirton, WV, Carter Lescallette of Jewett, OH; grandchildren, Geoffrey Jenkins (Rachelle) of New Cumberland, WV, Jessica Jenkins-Russell (Ethan) of Weirton, WV, Taylor Lescallette Wenzel (Nathan) of Baltimore, MD, Emily Purk (Joshua) of Pickerington, OH, Madison Lescallette of Pittsburgh, PA, Carly Lescallette of Monaca, PA, Graham Lescallette of Washington, DC; great grandchildren, Sam and Zachary Jenkins; and sister, Dorothy Sullivan of Ghent, NY.
Private services will take place at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Florence, PA.
