Ms. Jessie Mae Lewis-Neumon, daughter of Jep Calhoun and Emma Calhoun, was born September 14, 1951, in Mitchell County, Georgia.

Jessie was educated in the Florida Public School System and graduated from the Haines City High School class of 1969.

Jessie Mae's employment included Executive Housekeeper at the Travel Lodge and clerk at the Wal-Mart Supercenter where she faithfully worked for 20 years before she retired. She was always happy and proud of her contribution to the workforce. She was a hard worker who appreciated life and always saw the good in things.

Affectionately called "Lady J", Jessie was soft-spoken, loving, and a devoted mom and grandmother who commanded respect wherever she went. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, sightseeing, and spending time with family.

Months before her transition, Jessie Mae reaffirmed her faith to God and rededicated her life to Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jep and Emma Calhoun.

She departed this life peacefully on September 25, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care, of Orlando, Florida.

Jessie Mae leaves behind cherished memories to one son, Timothy Neumon (Kathy) of Lake Wales, Florida; one daughter, Dawn Fancy (Jimmy) of Haines City, Florida; five grandchildren, (grandsons) Telvin Neumon, Joshua Fancy, Jeremiah Fancy, (granddaughters) Kadaria Fancy, Jessica Neumon; five great-grandchildren, (twins) Nikolai and Lionel Fancy, Malakai Fancy, Joshua Fancy Jr, Noah Neumon; one brother, Robert "Pete" Garner (Betty) of Stafford, Virginia; one aunt, Ruthie Youames; three uncles, William Youman, James Youmes, Willie Youman, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly.

Jessie grew up in my neighborhood of Haines City, FL. She was always soft spoken and had a kind word for everyone. We lost touch after her retirement from Walmart. We reconnected for her class reunion November 2024. We had a brief visit in Orlando on September 10. Rest well Jessie, your works here are done.
