Jessie “Lee Ann” Owens, 74, of Bowling Green, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Greenview Hospital.  She was born on September 9, 1949 in Russellville, KY to the late Granville Louie Moore and Doris Jean Moore (Fuller).

Lee Ann was a loving wife to her husband, “Charlie.”  She was a retired educational assistant at Rockfield Elementary.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She loved hosting family gatherings and bridal/baby showers at her home.  She had many other homemaking talents that she used well such as baking cakes, sewing, and creating wonderful Southern style suppers; she made her home an inviting and comfortable place to be.   She also loved traveling with family and friends.  Most of all, she doted on her granddaughters and spoke of them fondly every chance she could.

Lee Ann was a long-time member of Greenwood Park Church of Christ; she loved God and her church family very much.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Charles Owens; their two children, Josh Owens and wife, Sarah; Sara Waldo (Owens) and husband, Darren; a brother David Moore and wife, Beth; and four granddaughters Lydia, Riley, Eliana, and Eila and a host of extended family survive that she also loved dearly.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Park Church of Christ, and the funeral service will follow at  3:00 p.m.  The burial will be held at the Quality Church of Christ Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024.   Funeral services will be provided by Cone Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Greenwood Park Church of Christ to benefit Taylor Christian Camp and the Eddie Stinson Scholarship fund.
